The suspension of the jail sentence of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who was convicted of corruption, has been extended by another six months.   

At the same time, the government has imposed a ban on foreign travel within the extended period.

According to a gazette notification, the suspension of the jail sentence of Khaleda Zia has been extended by another six months as per the executive order of the government like two previous conditions.

The suspension of the jail sentence of Khaleda Zia will be effective from 25 March. 

At this time, Khaleda Zia will receive treatment staying at her residence and she is not allowed to travel abroad for treatment.
