Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Md Salahuddin returned to his office on Wednesday.
The 53-year-old BFF chief had been out of all footballing activities for the last three months as he underwent a heart (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) surgery last December.
“I have no change. When I come back to football, I feel it is like my world. Football is in my blood. No matter how much you scold me, I will come back here,” said Salahuddin to the reporters.
The Bangladesh football legend, who has been leading BFF since 2008, did his last office on 16 December last year.
This is the first time he kept himself away from football for so long.
“Football in my blood. If I continue it, I'll do it like before. If I decide not to do it, then I will leave it. I will not do anything half-heartedly,” he further added.
The BFF also talked about his meeting with Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hassan Papon, who went to see him at his home in February.
“Our relationship is always good. Some outsiders preached that it was bad. It is such a relationship that was not made overnight. Nothing has ever happened between Papon and me, there is no chance of anything,” he added.
Salahuddin also talked about his health, SAFF U-19 Women’s Champions final, Hamza Choudhury.
“I watched the U-19 final at home. I’m very upset with the decision of the match commissioner. If he was my staff I would fire him. I also talked with coach Saiful Bari. I told him that the girls could do better,” he added.
“Hamza is booked by Club. No matter how much a Bangali talks, none can do anything. It entirely depends on Hamza and his club. My office has communicated with them, it is not like that he can play if he wants,” he continued.
“He (Hamza) must first get permission from his club. Then we need to know what his needs are. Why don't we take him if he wants to play? But there is a big difference between the cup and the lips,” he ended.
