Sunnydale emerge champions in Mini School Handball tournament

Sunnydale School emerged champions in both boys’ and girls’ divisions of the Everest Pharma Mini School Handball Tournament at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka on Monday.
Sunnydale beat Ideal School Motijheel by 10-2 goals in the boys’ division, and beat Viqarunnisa Noon School and College by 3-2 goals in the girls’ division.
Sunnydale’s Ahan and Namila were adjudged the best players in boys’ and girls’ divisions respectively.
Model Academy and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College finished third in both divisions beating South Point School and BAF Shaheen College by 3-2 and 6-0 goals respectively.
Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Everest Pharmaceutical Ltd Managing Director Zakir Hossain and Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) officials were also present on the occasion.
A total of 28 schools – 16 of boys and 12 of girls – took part in the tournament this year organised by BHF and sponsored by Everest Pharmaceutical Ltd.
