A fire that broke out in a scrap warehouse of Bangabandhu tunnel in Anwara upazila end has been brought under control.

The fire started around 2:30pm, said Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence (designated for the tunnel) Abdur Razzak.

On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

Abul Kalam, deputy project director of Bangabandhu tunnel, said abandoned construction materials were damaged in the fire.
