The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) has decided to increase the operation time of metro rail by one hour from 16 Ramadan.

“The last train from Motijheel will depart at 9:40pm and from Uttara at 9:20pm,” DMTCL Managing Director MAN Siddique said at a press conference on Sunday.

He said passengers can carry 250ml water bottles only before and after Iftar time and those must be disposed of in designated bins.

The iftar schedule will be displayed on LED screens both inside and outside the train, Siddique added.
