Nepal star Anjan Bista will make his debut in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as Fortis Football Club signed him, a club official confirmed on Friday.

The official also informed that the Nepalese star will come to Dhaka after playing their FIFA, AFC joint qualifiers match against Bahrain scheduled to be held on 26 March. 

Anjan is expected to make his debut in Bangladesh with the matches of the ongoing ABG Bashundhara BPL 2023-24 second phase.

The 25-year-old Nepali midfielder earlier scored a hat-trick to outplay Bangladesh by 3-1 goals in a FIFA international friendly match at Dasharath Rangasala in Kathmandu, Nepal in September 2022.

Anjan also shattered Bangladesh's dream of playing the SAFF final scoring a last-minute equaliser in their last group match of the 13th edition in Maldives in October 2021.
