The Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu has celebrated the Historic 7th March with due solemnity.

The day began with hoisting the national flag at the embassy compound, read a press release.

A discussion was held at the embassy auditorium where the video of the 7 March speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was screened and the messages given by the dignitaries were read out.

SAARC Secretary General Md Golam Sarwar attended the programme as the special guest. The speakers highlighted the historical background and significance of the 7 March speech.

Embassy officials and members of the Bangladesh community in Nepal attended the programme.
