Bangladesh Embassy in Seoul observes “Historic 7th March”

Bangladesh Embassy in Seoul observed the ‘Historic 7th March’ day on 07 March 2024 in a befitting manner commemorating the landmark speech of Father of the Nation.

The event was attended by the Embassy officials and the expatriate Bangladeshis living in Korea.

The day’s programme commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Delwar Hossain with the national anthem at the embassy premises. Ambassador Delwar Hossain in presence of the Embassy officials and expatriate Bangladeshi nationals paid homage to the Father of the Nation by placing floral wreaths in front of his bust inside the Chancery.

The Embassy officials read out the messages of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister. A documentary on the historic 7th March speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was screened. It was followed by discussion on the historical background and significance of the historic 7th March speech.  

In his speech, Ambassador Delwar Hossain paid profound tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He also remembered with profound respect the valiant freedom fighters and martyrs and dishonoured women for their supreme sacrifice to the achievement of independence of Bangladesh. He said that the historic 7th March speech of the Father of the Nation inspired the entire freedom-seeking Bengali nation to join the struggle for independence.

He added that the global recognition of historic March 7th speech of the Father of the Nation is a matter of great pride for Bangalee nation and this historic speech will be an eternal source of inspiration for not only our nation but also for freedom-loving people around the world.
