Noted small screen director Abu Hayat Mahmud has announced to make his first film. The director of more than 250 dramas will direct the film “Once Upon a Time in Dhaka”.

Screenplay by Mezbah Uddin Sumon, the film will feature two main characters from Dhaka and West Bengal. Tariq Anam Khan, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Salahuddin Lavlu, singer Pritom Ahmed and others will also play different roles in the film. 

This was disclosed at a press conference held at a restaurant in the capital’s Bangla Motor area on Tuesday.

According to the director, the shooting of this movie based on thriller and suspense will begin in May. Abu Hayat Mahmud said, “The main hero of the movie will be a Bangladeshi and the actress will be an Indian. I have finalized the talks; I will let you know before the shooting.”

“I’m making the movie “Once upon a time in Dhaka” inspired by a true events, but there is no portrait of any particular person in it”, he added.
