The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has cancelled the admission of 169 first graders at Viqarunnisa Noon School due to non-compliance with the enrollment regulations.

The DSHE on Wednesday cancelled the admission of the students, who enrolled at the school in 2024, following the High Court order, DSHE Director General Prof Nehal Ahmed, told the Daily Sun.

Nehal Ahmed said that the school authorities had set the age limit in its admission policies for class one aspirants in accordance with the DSHE instructions but violated the rules.

In this context, the High Court instructed the DSHE to take action, leading to the cancellation of admission for the 169 students of the school, he said.

While talking to the Daily Sun, Keka Roy Chowdhury, acting principal of the Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, said, “We have already received instructions from the DSHE, and I will come up with further details and explanations in this regard immediately.”
