Another child dies while undergoing circumcision in Malibagh

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has sealed the JS Diagnostic and Medical Checkup Center in Malibagh of the capital following the death of a student while undergoing circumcision on Tuesday night.
The DGHS also ordered to close the institution until further notice.
Director (Hospitals and Clinics) Abu Hossain Md Moinul Ahsan confirmed the matter to the reporters after visiting the JS Diagnostic and Medical Checkup Center on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Ahnaf Tahmin Ayham, 10, a class four student of Motijheel Ideal School and College.
The child's father filed a case at the Hatirjheel police station over the matter.
Police arrested two doctors– SM Muktadir and Mahbub– from the diagnostic center.
Hatirjheel police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Awlad Hossain confirmed the matter on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier on 8 January, a five-year-old child named Ayaan died after undergoing circumcision under full anesthesia at the United Medical College Hospital in Satarkul, Dhaka.
