A two-day extravaganza of academic brilliance and scientific innovation came to a close on Saturday as the Math and Biochemistry Olympiad, along with the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Fest, concluded with resounding success.

Organized by the student-governed clubs of International Hope School Bangladesh (IHSB) - including Hopians Math, Programming & Robotics Club (HMPRC), IHSB STEM Club, and IHSB NASA Rover Team - the events showcased the exceptional dedication and talent of students from diverse educational backgrounds.

Participation was robust, with 50 prestigious schools from the capital joining the science festival.

Approximately 1500 students exhibited 115 science projects, featuring modern technology-rich displays spanning biochemistry, robotics, materials, chemistry, and other science-related topics.

The organizers expressed satisfaction with the students' scientific mindset and innovative thinking demonstrated through their projects.

Dhaka 18 Constituency Member of Parliament, Khosru Chowdhury, graced the event as the chief guest, joined by Professor Abdul Khaleque from the Biochemistry and Microbiology Department of North South University, and Prof Dat'r Mohammad Saleh Jafaar, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Branch of UCSI University of Malaysia, as special guests. Roksana Jerin, Principal of International Hope School, delivered the welcome speech.

Khosru Chowdhury praised the event, envisioning a bright future for Bangladesh in the realm of science.

He expressed confidence that the science-oriented students would elevate Bangladesh's standing on the global stage.

Principal Roksana Jerin highlighted the students' keen interest in the science festival from the outset.

She emphasized the festival's track record of success, with past participants achieving international recognition in competitions held in Dubai. Jerin expressed optimism that this year's participants would continue the tradition of excellence on the international stage.

The festival's second day saw the opening of various stalls on the school grounds, featuring a myriad of science-related exhibits. The Math Olympiad and Biochemistry Olympiad, attracting 900 and 500 participants respectively, tested mathematical acumen and biochemical knowledge through rigorous challenges and practical tasks.

Complementing the Olympiads was the IHSB STEM Fest, where 100 projects and a miniature metro-rail were showcased, providing a platform for students to demonstrate their scientific discoveries, technological innovations, and engineering prowess.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impression of academic excellence and scientific inquiry among the participants and attendees alike.
