Prarthana Fardin Dighi-starrer film “Sraban Jyotsnay” will be released in theatres across the country on 16 February on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Gazi Abdun Noor will be seen opposite Dighi in the movie.

Based on Imdadul Haq Milan’s novel of the same title, the film has been scripted and directed by Abdus Samad Khokon. 

“Sraban Jyotsnay” is a triangle love story between a beautiful girl Mou, an American expat Nabil and a benevolent innocent village guy Shuvo.  

The shooting of the film started in 2021. The movie was screened at the “5th Bangladesh Film Festival” in Kolkata in 2023.

In the meantime, the trailer of the movie was released on Monday. Besides Dighi and Gazi Abdun Noor, the film also stars Bappa Santanu, Munmun Ahmed, Subrata Barua, Masum Bashar, Mili Bashar and others.

Dighi started her media journey as an actress and model at a very early age. She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Child Artiste three times for the films “Kabuliwala” in 2006, “Ek Takar Bou” in 2008 and “Chachchu Amar Chachchu” in 2010.

Dighi made her debut in a lead role in the film “Tumi Acho Tumi Nei” in 2021. She was last seen in “Mujib: The Making of a Nation”, the biopic of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
