Govt cancels appointment of Ahmad Kaikaus as alternative ED of World Bank

The government has cancelled the contractual appointment of Ahmad Kaikaus as an alternative executive director of the World Bank head office in Washington.
The public administration ministry on Wednesday issued a gazette notification cancelling the remaining tenure of his contract.
The former principal secretary of the prime minister’s office (PMO) was appointed an alternative executive director of the World Bank on 7 December, 2022 for three years on a contractual basis.
He submitted an application to the government seeking cancellation of his appointment as an alternative executive director of the World Bank.
He is likely to be given a big responsibility in the government.
