A massive fire broke out at a warehouse of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) in the Khanpur area of Narayanganj on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 1:18pm, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Seven firefighting units rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, it added.
