Khulna Tigers stretched their winning streak to four after they secured a massive 10-wicket win over Durdanto Dhaka during their fourth Bangladesh Premier League match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Khulna batters made the light work very convincingly after they restricted Dhaka to 130-9 as skipper Anamul Haque Bijoy scored an unbeaten 58 off 48 balls while Afif Hossain made 37 not out to take their side to 131-0 in 14.4 overs to maintain their terrific run in the tournament.

Anamul put up a quick-fire 50 runs with Evin Lewis in the opening stand before the latter was retired out on 26 off 13 balls. He then shared an unbroken stand of 81 runs with Afif to make it four in four for Khulna.

Earlier, Dhaka endured a shocking batting collapse in their innings as they lost nine wickets for just 39 runs after their openers Mohammad Naim and Saim Ayub gave them a flying 75-run start.

Khulna’s Afif Hossain broke the dangerous-looking partnership after he removed Naim (41 off 21 balls) while Ayub (35 off 37 balls) was dismissed by Dasun Shanaka in the next over.

Mukidul Islam Mughdo (2-23) removed Gulbadin Naib and BPL debutant SM Meherob Hasan in the same over while Mohammad Nawaz (3-15) took the next three wickets in a very short time to embarrass Dhaka further.

Alex Ross made 14-ball 21 but he failed to get any support from the other hand before he was dismissed by Mohammad Wasim Jnr (2-13) as the ninth wicket.

Arafat Sunny’s unbeaten 15 off 14 balls helped Dhaka play the full 20 overs but their score was nowhere close to defendable against a top Khulna batting line-up.
