The wide-angle segment of the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival was inaugurated on Monday at the Bangladesh National Museum.

Minister of Social Welfare Dipu Moni, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Yue Liwen, and filmmakers and film enthusiasts from home and abroad attended the event.

Preceding the commencement of the opening ceremony, Ambassador Yao Wen took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Chinese Movie Poster Exhibition alongside other distinguished guests, said a press release from the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

A total of 17 Chinese films will be presented at the festival.

Besides, six representatives from the Chinese film industry attended the festival.
