An arrest warrant has been issued against Mir Rashed Bin Aman, recently ousted Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited.

A case has been filed against him and his associates on behalf of the company for embezzlement of Tk 9 crore.

Mustafa Golam Emran, an executive of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited, lodged the case at Rampura police station on behalf of the company.

The other accused are former HR officer Fatima Tamanna Sweety, former accounting department officer Sumi Shen, former head of purchase Rajesh Ice, former head of finance Borhan Uddin Mazumder, former accounting department manager Shipon Bhuiyan, and former head of investment Sujan Talukder. They all are facing arrest warrant in this case.

In response to the allegations and legal actions, the Chairman of Sonali Life Insurance has resigned. The company's stakeholders and regulatory authorities are closely monitoring the developments, and further investigations are expected to shed light on the extent of the alleged financial irregularities.
