Glenrich International School emerged champions in the women’s category of the Inter School Football Tournament (U-19) beating Scholastica School by 1-0 goal on Saturday.

Glenrich booters -- Fariza Zahid (Grade - VIII) and Suhana Salha Jahan (Grade - VII) were adjudged as the Top Scorers and the Best Goalkeeper of the competition respectively.  
Glenrich Ramesh Mudgal congratulated the team after their victory, the school said in a press release on Monday.

“I congratulate our girls for making us proud by becoming the champions in the football tournament, and at the same time, my heartfelt felicitation goes to all the participating teams for showing the spirit of sportsmanship. Just like this tournament, we need to encourage the learners to partake in sports and other activities beyond the regular curriculum, which will help them become better versions of themselves,” he said.

Meanwhile, Scholastica hosted this two-day competition where several schools of the capital took part in both men’s and women’s categories.
