Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed El Khereiji has congratulated Hasan Mahmud for assuming his new role as Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

He conveyed his congratulations during a meeting on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda.

The two dignitaries discussed various issues of mutual interest including enhancing trade, investment and connectivity between the two brotherly nations.

Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud is leading the Bangladesh delegation to the NAM and the Third South Summit of the G77 and China in the African country.

Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Muhammad A Muhith and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda Tareque Muhammad are accompanying the Foreign Minister among others.
