A mild cold wave may sweep over the north, northwestern and eastern parts of the country from Saturday, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The mild cold wave may also prevail over Dhaka city after the rain, he said.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may rise slightly over the country on Friday, according to the BMD forecast.
Rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions on Thursday (today), the Met office said.
Weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from night to morning and it may continue till noon at places, it added.
Air navigation, Inland River transport and road communication may be disrupted temporarily due to fog.
The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius in Bandarban, while the lowest temperature in Dhaka was 13.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
