Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 9,939 drug traders from different areas of the country in 2023.
The elite force conducted 4,453 raids and held the drug traders, said ANM Imran Khan, media officer-2 of the RAB.
The RAB members recovered 95,29,419 yaba tablets, 127.250 kg of heroin, 1,23,054 bottles of phensidyl, 14,700 bottles of foreign wine, 78,242.38 litres of locally made wine, 25,853.35 kg of ganja, 6,756 bottles of beer, 11.445 kg of opium, 70, 527 sedative injections and 2,18,983 pieces of sedative tablets.
The RAB from its foundation to till date arrested 1.50 lakh drug traders and people involved in drugs, and recovered huge drugs worth about Tk 6,000 crore.
