The first formal meeting of the new cabinet will be held on tomorrow (15 January). 

Confirming the matter, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Monday morning. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held an informal meeting of the newly formed cabinet at her residence at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday (13 January). 

Although the subject of the meeting was not known, the exchange of mutual greetings will be the issue of the first cabinet meeting. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will preside over it. The premier will give directions to the new cabinet members in the meeting, sources concerned said.      

Mentionable, the new government was formed headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 11 January after the Awami League won an absolute majority in the 12th parliamentary election.
