The BCS General Education Association congratulated the new Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, said a press release on Saturday.

In the press release, the President of the organization Prof Md Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, and the Secretary General Shaukat Hossain Molla said that the new minister's prior role as the Deputy Minister of Education in the previous cabinet will expedite the ongoing transformation of the education system.

This transformation is instrumental in realizing the Vision 2041 for a smart Bangladesh, they added.

The leaders also expected that the minister would proactively address various issues pertaining to the BCS General Education Cadre, one of the largest and most crucial cadres in the Bangladesh Civil Service.

"His role will be far-reaching and groundbreaking in upholding the rights and dignity of teachers," read the press release.
