Flight operations at Saidpur Airport returned to normal six hours after the dense fog was cleared.

Normal airport activity resumed at 3:30 pm today

No flight was able to land or take off from the airport after 9:30pm. As a result, 400 passengers on various flights, including Bangladesh Biman, US-Bangla, and Novo Air, faced suffering. 

As per the information obtained from the weather office of Saidpur Airport, the lowest temperature was recorded at 9 degree Celsius in Nilphamari today. A mild cold wave is sweeping this region.

Visibility was only 200 metres at 12:00pm and 1,000 metres at 2.30pm due to dense fog. Accordingly, the schedule of flights collapsed in the airport, and passengers, including children and elderly people, faced immense suffering.
