Sabina to play for Kickstart FC in Indian Women’s League

Bangladesh national women’s football captain Sabina Khatun will play for Kickstart Football Club in the ongoing Indian Women's League (IWL) 2023–24, started on 8 December and will end on 24 March.
Karnataka-based outfit Kickstart FC are currently at the second-place of the seven team IWL table with 9 points from three wins.
Sabina, who will play in the foreign players quota with two other Nepalese players Preeti Rai and Dipa Shahi, is expected to join the Indian club before their fourth match against Sethu Football Club on 17 January in Goa.
“... I'm facing visa issues…they (club) will wait for me until 17 January. If I go there by this time, I may play their next match,” the Bangladesh captain told the reporters on Thursday.
Kickstart will host Odisha Football Club Women in their fifth match on 24 January in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Bangladeshi forward earlier played for two Maldivian clubs – Maldives Defense Force, Maldives Army FC and Indian club Sethu FC.
