Two shows of ‘Harmachis Cleopatra’ at Shilpakala today

Two stage shows of country’s popular theatre troupe Anuswar’s new play “Harmachis Cleopatra” will be held at the main auditorium of National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) today.

The shows will be held at 5:00pm and 7:30pm respectively.

Written by Raahman Chowdhury, the play has been directed by Mohammad Bari. The play revolves around the Egypt Queen Cleopatra and her lover Harmachis. 

Queen Cleopatra of Egypt is one of the most-talked-about characters in the history. Cleopatra became empress of Egypt at the age of 18. Many famous dramatists and writers of the world have depicted with amazing skill–Cleopatra’s form, personality, ambition and a feminine helplessness.

Harmachis is also a character from the history of ancient Egyptian civilization. And that Harmachis and Cleopatra’s narrative has been brought to the stage by the theater troupe Anuswar.

‘Cleopatra and Harmachis’ is the 9th production of Anuswar.  

 The probable cast of the play includes SR Shompod, Fouzia Karim Anu, Merina Shetu, Mohammad Bari, Proshanto Haaldar, Saif Sumon, Mahfuz Shumon, Nuruzzaman Sarker, Arifur Rahman, Hemangshu Majumdar, Shudipto Mahmud,Tushar Ahmed, Dilbar Amin Britto and others.
