Awami League (AL) candidate Golam Dastagir Gazi’s Private Secretary (APS) Emdadul Haque allegedly attempted to grab a polling centre in Narayanganj-1 constituency.

According to locals, voters were panicked when Emdadul entered the polling centre with more than a hundred people.

Emdadul along with more than 150 Awami League leaders and activists was seen entering some centers including Nobokisholoy High School and Girls College, Al Amin Academy, Government Primary School polling station of Ward No. 9 of Chanpara, Rupganj, they added.

At this time Emdadul was accompanied by controversial woman UP member Rita Akter and another controversial local UP member of Chanpara Shamser and members of his terrorist group.

When asked about this, Assistant Returning Officer Ahsan Mahmud Russell said, “I am not aware of this matter. However, action will be taken if there is any complaint.”
