‘The dream of unfair polls in Faridpur-2 to not be fulfilled’

Independent candidate Advocate Jamal Hossain Mia has said the dream of becoming Member of Parliament through an unfair election in Faridpur-2 constituency will turn into a nightmare.
He made the remarks while addressing a public meeting at Navkam Palli University College ground of Jadunandi union of Saltha upazila in Faridpur on Monday evening.
“I have to work as a servant of people keeping the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in mind. If I win the election, I will create employment opportunities in Saltha and Nagarkanda upazilas,” Jamal Hossain Mia said.
He also said that he will rejuvenate the ignored and oppressed Awami League of the two upazilas.
Saltha upazila Awami League Organising Secretary Sabbir Chowdhury, Jadunandi UP Chairman Rafiqul Islam, and Jubo League leader Kamruzzaman Qayum Mollah addressed the public meeting presided over by Saltha upazila Awami League President Delwar Hossain Miah.
In the election rally, all the leaders and activists sought vote for ‘Eagle' symbol to make independent candidate Jamal Hossain Mia victorious.
Earlier, several thousands of leaders and activists from different villages of Jadunandi union joined the election rally. Also, many women voters were seen standing on both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of Advocate Jamal Hossain Mia's electioneering.
