Bashundhara Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in the country, distributed 5000 blankets to needy people in different areas of Gaibandha during a three-day humanitarian assistance programme.

The blanket distribution programme ended on Wednesday. The officials of Bashundhara Group were present during the distribution programme.

The blankets were distributed among the students of various intellectually disabled and autistic schools of Gaibandha Sadar and Sundarganj upazilas.

Besides, the needy people from different areas of the district town and suburbs such as Kanchipara and Saghata in Phulchari got the blankets.

Faizur Rahman Faiz, the secretary of the Vice-Chairman of Bashundhara Group, inaugurated the programme by distributing blankets among the students of Anisuddin Khan Mentally Handicapped and Autistic School of Boali Union of Sadar Upazila on Monday.
