Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route remained suspended for one and half an hour on Saturday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog in the morning.

Khorshed Alam, assistant manager, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Daulatdia point, said the ferry services was suspended at 8 am owing to poor visibility.

Six ferries remained stranded in the middle of the Padma River.

However, the ferry services on the route resumed at 9:45 am after visibility improved with disappearance of fog.
