Three teachers of the Islamic University (IU) have been made the university’s syndicate member.

Newly-appointed members are Professor Dr. Jahangir Hossain of Islamic History and Culture Department, Dr. Kamrunnahar, Dean of Science Faculty, and Political Science Department lecturer Habibur Rahman.

Chancellor of the university and President Mohammed Shahabuddin has nominated them as syndicate members, the highest policy-making body of the university.

The nomination order was issued by the Ministry of Education under sections 19 (1) (Jha) of the Islamic University Act 1980 (Amended Law, 2010) with the approval of the President and Chancellor of the university Mohammad Sahabuddin on Wednesday.

The information was given in a letter signed by Rokhchana Begum, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education.
