Bangladesh Ambassador Jashim Uddin presents credentials to the Mongolian President

Md Jashim Uddin, Ambassador of Bangladesh to China with concurrent accreditation to Mongolia, has presented his credentials to President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh on Nov 17.

He presented his credentials by meeting the Mongolian president at the State Palace in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, said a press release.

Earlier, Ts. Munkh-Ulzii, the Chief of Protocol at Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Ambassador Md Jasim Uddin upon his arrival at the palace by a motorcade procession.

Subsequently, a military band played the national anthems of both Bangladesh and Mongolia, while extending a guard of honour to the distinguished ambassador.

President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh congratulated Ambassador Md Jasim Uddin on his appointment, affirming cooperation in all diplomatic endeavours. 

Following the event, Ambassador Md Jasim Uddin joined a meeting with foreign minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, and several other ministers from various ministries, high-ranking government officials, and prominent business leaders.

At the meeting, Ambassador Md Jasim Uddin recalled the historical significance of Mongolia being among the first nations to recognize Bangladesh after its independence in 1971.

He also underscored the importance of enhancing trade between the two countries.

The Mongolian government officials and business representatives also expressed their keen interest in strengthening bilateral relations with Bangladesh, signifying a shared commitment to fostering economic and diplomatic collaboration.
