Miscreants set three vehicles on fire in Dhaka and Joypurhat on Saturday night, ahead of countrywide 48 hours hartal called by the BNP-led opposition political parties from Sunday.

In the capital, a bus of Kamol Paribahan was set on fire at Gulistan at 7:40pm. Being informed, two firefighting units of Siddique Bazar Fire Station rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire, according to fire officials. 

In another incident, a bus of Bihongo Paribahan was torched at Taltola of Agargaon in Dhaka  this evening.

In Joypurhat, miscreants set a pickup van on fire at 9:45pm. 

The incident happened in Battali area of Joypurhat Sadar. 

On information, two firefighting units reached the spot at 9:57pm to bring the fire under control.
