China envoy hands over medical equipments to Cox’s Bazar 250 Bed Sadar Hospital

250 Bed Sadar Hospital in Cox’s Bazar has received a consignment of medical equipments from the Chinese embassy in Dhaka.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen on Friday handed over the medical supplies to superintendent of the hospital Dr. Maung Ting Neo.
During the ceremony the Chinese envoy expressed that since the beginning of this year, China and Bangladesh have carried out a series of cooperation in the field of health, which has played an important role in helping Bangladesh fight against the worst dengue fever epidemic in history and improve the overall medical level. The 250 Bed Sadar Hospital in Cox’s Bazar is the only general hospital in the region, and the Chinese Embassy is willing to help improve the medical conditions of the hospital to better benefit the local people.
Dr. Neo sincerely thanked the Chinese Embassy for its kindness, saying that medical equipment such as ICU monitors and electrocardiogram machines will help solve the urgent needs of the hospital and greatly improve the level of medical services of the hospital. Bangladesh looks forward to further intensifying cooperation and exchanges in the medical and health fields between the two countries.
