A Dhaka court has placed BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas on five-day remand in a case filed under the sabotage and explosive substances act with Shahjahanpur Police Station in the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin issued the order on Wednesday as the law enforcers produced the senior leader of the BNP before the court and sought five-day remand in the case.
Police nabbed Mirza Abbas from Shahjahanpur of the capital on Tuesday night.
Earlier on October 29, sub-inspector Mostafizur Rahman of Shahjahanpur Police Station lodged the case against Mirza Abbas and 48 others.
