Three physicians from Johns Hopkins University of the United States (US) arrived in Dhaka at 7:30pm today.

They will facilitate the treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare hospital in the capital.

BNP sources came up with this information on Wednesday evening.

According to the party sources, the three US doctors are: Dr Christo Georgiades, Dr James Peter Adam Hamilton, and Dr Hamid Ahmed Abdur Rab.

Among the three physicians, one is a hepatologist, one is an interventionist and the other is a nephrologist.

Earlier, Law Minister Anisul Huq informed journalists that the government has allowed these foreign doctors to come to Dhaka for Khaleda Zia’s treatment.

Mentionable, the BNP Chairperson has been receiving treatment at the city’s Evercare Hospital since August 9.
