A low pressure area has formed over the south-west and adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal and it is likely to intensify, the Met office said on Friday.

In a forecast, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly across Bangladesh, it said.

Besides, rain or thundershowers is likely to occur, the BMD said in its weather outlook issued for the next five days.
