The International Monetary Fund (IMF) likely to approve $681 million in the second instalment of its $4.7 billion loan on December 11, the Bangladesh Bank (BB) said on Thursday.
After a meeting with a mission of the lender, the central bank Executive Director and spokesperson Mezbaul Haque confirmed the matter.
He said, “After the meeting, the two sides have reached an agreement. We hope the IMF's board meeting on December 11 will approve the second instalment of the loan.”
