The Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has appointed SM Shamsul Alam as its chairman.

SM Ashraful Alam and SM Mahbubul Alam, also the founding directors of the company, have been appointed as vice-chairman and managing director respectively.

The appointments, which were made at Walton’s 35th meeting of the board of directors on Saturday, would take effect from the same day, read a press release.

Shamsul Alam, Ashraful Alam and Mahbubul Alam are the successful entrepreneurs in the electrical and electronics industry of the country and they have played a vital role in Walton's rapid growth as senior directors.

Under their supervision, Walton had been officially listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on 14 September, 2020, the release added.
