Peninsula holds different programmes marking 'World Tourism Day'

The Peninsula Chittagong, a renowned hotel in the city, organised different programmes including public speaking competition, seminar and workshop marking the “World Tourism Day” on Wednesday.

The event aimed at inspiring and empowering participants to embrace sustainable practices in the travel industry and become catalysts for positive changes.

Throughout the public speaking competition with the topic “Green Investment and its impact on Tourism Industry,” participants had the opportunity to attend interactive sessions led by expert students from all renowned universities. 

The seminar, held in the elegant Zinnia Hall of the hotel, brought together industry experts, environmental activists, and enthusiastic participants. 

The programme was associated with thought-provoking keynote speeches by the key discussants Bangladesh Tourism Foundation Chairman Mokhlesur Rahman, Tourist Police Chattogram Superintendent of Police Md Apple Mahmud, Southern University Bangladesh Department of Business Administration and Coordinator of Hotel Management Assistant Professor Ali Ekramul Haque, Bangladesh Solar & Renewable Energy Association President Md. Nurul Aktar, Infrastructure Development Company Limited Deputy CEO and CFO SM Monirul Islam and Peninsula General Manager Sumedha Gunawardana.
