Jewellers have reduced the price of gold by Tk 1,283 to Tk 99, 960 per bhori in the market of Bangladesh.

Standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) took the decision in this regard at a meeting held on Wednesday.

The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 8,570 per gram while 21-carat gold price is Tk 8,180, said a press release signed by Committee vice-chairman Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton.

On the other hand, the price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 7,010 a gram while that of traditional gold at Tk 5,840 a gram. The new tariff comes into effect today.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 147 per gram while 21-carat is Tk 140, 18-carat is Tk 120 and traditional one is Tk 90 per gram.
