The number of deaths from dengue infection in the country is increasing. In the last 24 hours, some 19 people died of mosquito-borne disease.

With new deaths, some 928 people lost their lives after being infected with dengue.

Besides, some 3033 people were hospitalised in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.    

The latest information on dengue was learnt from the bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.  

According to DGHS, among the hospitalised patients, some 801 are residents of the capital while 2,032 are residents of other districts.   

From January 1 to September 25 of this year 1.90 lakh people were infected with dengue. Of them, 79 thousand 716 people are residents of Dhaka while one lakh 11 thousand 42 people are patients of various hospitals outside of Dhaka.
