Three children were killed as a train run over them at Amtoli in the city's Mohakhali area on Saturday.

The identities of the victims yet to be confirmed, Kamalapur Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ferdous Ahmed Biswas told BSS this evening and said that their ages are between 12 and 13.

He said the Jamalpur-bound Dewanganj Express train from Kamalapur Railway Station hit them around 6.30am while the children were going to Sainik Club area from Mohakhali. 

On information, railway police went to the spot and recovered their bodies.

The bodies have been kept at Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
