Popular News

Bangladesh young pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has apologised to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for his controversial social media post, stating he had no intention to hurt anyone in the community.

Jalal Yunus, chairman of BCB's cricket management department, confirmed the matter while briefing the media this afternoon (Tuesday) at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium.

A widespread criticism poured in on the social media platform Facebook when a status, posted by Tanzim Sakib around a year ago, went viral following the heroic performance of the cricketer in the Asia Cup Super Four match against India.

After that, Sakib was under scrutiny following his Facebook posts about women that allegedly demeaned women and disregarded the importance of women's rights to education and empowerment.
