Fire which broke out at Sena Kalyan Bhaban in Motijheel of the capital Monday night was doused in nearly 45 minutes.
On information, the firefighters rushed to the spot and began working to douse the blaze on time.
The fire service was informed of the flames at 8:50pm. The first unit of firefighters reached the spot and began working to bring the fire under control at 9:09pm. Finally, fire could be controlled around 9:42pm.
Four firefighters unit of Siddique Bazar Fire Station were engaged in the fight.
No casualty was reported from the incident.
