The Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei Darussalam on Wednesday launched e-passport service of Bangladesh proudly announces the inauguration of its cutting-edge of e-Passport Service for the expatriate Bangladeshi nationals.
The introduction of e-passport is being considered as revolutionising the way its citizens travel and enhancing the Automated Border Control Management system. “This historical occasion has been celebrated as marking a significant milestone in the country's technological advancement,” said a press release of the Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei.
The representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam along with some Bangladeshi nationals as well as local esteemed guests were present in that programme.
At the event, , Additional Secretary Saiful Islam highlighted in his speeches the significance of this innovation, the history of the Bangladesh Passport and e-passport technological advancement.
“We are excited to introduce the e-passport services, a pivotal step in modernizing our nation's travel infrastructure and secured national data,” he said.
“The High Commission of Bangladesh in Brunei Darussalam has been proudly introduced as the 33rd Bangladeshi Mission to provide e-passport service,” said Bangladesh High Commissioner Nahida Rahman Shumona. She thanked the government for introducing the service to Bangladesh community in Brunei.
At the end of the ceremony, five Bangladeshi nationals received their delivery slip for e-passport. The Bangladeshi nations presented there expressed their gratitude to the Bangladesh government for availing e-passport in Brunei.
