National University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mashiur Rahman said the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) should focus on curbing discrimination.

“We hype about the fourth industrial revolution. Every revolution in the world resulted in some changes. Has discrimination been eliminated from the society? Can we establish an equitable and just society through 4IR? No. Removal of discrimination through this revolution is not guaranteed. So, reduction in discrimination should be the main objective of it,” he said.

Dr Mashiur Rahman was addressing the 12th installation of Rotary Club of Abahanikunja held at Uttara Club in Dhaka Saturday night.
