State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said on Monday that the ongoing development trend should be continued in collective efforts.
"The next three-four months will be transitional and critical time. Taking consideration of the global and domestic economic situation, we have to take quick decisions," he said at farewell and joining ceremony of energy secretaries at the ministry's conference room.
Energy Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Majumdar was transferred to the finance division as secretary, while Md Nurul Alam promoted as energy secretary.The energy division arranged the farewell and joining ceremony.
Nasrul Hamid said that energy and power division should move together at the same development trend, adding, "It is necessary to work for uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity across the country."
Dr Md Khairuzzaman Majumder started his career in 1993 by joining Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration cadre through 11th batch.
Besides, Md Nurul Alam is a 13th batch officer of BCS (Administration) cadre. He worked at various levels of field administration.
He is replacing Majumder as energy secretary from Additional Secretary of Power division. The state minister wished success of both secretaries.
Officials concerned were present during the meeting.
