A 60-year old woman who was injured after being hit by a motorcycle in Dhaka's Mirpur on Sunday afternoon has died.

The deceased was identified as Mst Jinnatul Begum.

According to the woman’s grandson Saju Ahmed, the  motorcycle hit her around 7 pm in Kazipara area while she was crossing the road.

She was rushed to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as her condition deteriorated.

She breathed her last around 3 am on Monday while undergoing treatment at DMCH.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, said  her body has been kept at the DMCH morgue.
